Blessed Advent to you and your family! While it may seem more and more counter cultural, what with all the Christmas displays in the stores and holiday specials on TV, we are expectantly joyful as we are in our four-week journey to the stable.
The Episcopal Mission of Warren County Church invites you to celebrate Advent and Christmas with us.
Your first opportunity is our Youth and Family Event: Movie Night on Friday, December 15th. All youth (and all adults who can bring a child or youth as admission to the event) come enjoy a family holiday movie, popcorn, and other activities. Start gathering after 5, movie starts at 6.
Sunday December 17th finds our youth rehearsing for the first time for the Christmas Pageant. Then on Christmas Eve they will rehearse at 4 PM and eat pizza.
Join in the fun on Tuesday, December 19th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM in Youngsville when we will partake in some wine, cheese and crackers while we sort out and organize our greens.
Our hot holiday meals is next on our journey as we sign up now to prepare and deliver on Christmas Day to those who are shut-in and/or alone. Add your name to the list of volunteers and prepare to wield a spoon, donate Christmas Cookies, or drive a car as we bring the love of God out to all those who would be alone on Christmas. Organizing this ministry takes place on Saturday, December 23 at First Lutheran in Warren.
The Fourth Sunday of Advent occurs in the morning on December 24th with our Worship Service at 8:30 AM at St. Francis in Youngsville and our 10:30 AM Worship Service with Baptism at Trinity Warren. Following both services greening of the churches will happen.
A service for families and children of all ages, featuring a Christmas pageant with young voices filling the Sanctuary, a brief children’s sermon, and hymns at Trinity in Warren at 5:00 PM.
Our musical offering with congregational singing, special music, candle lighting in celebration of the Lord’s birth at Trinity in Warren at 8:00 PM.
On Christmas Day join us at St. Francis in Youngsville for an 8:00 AM Breakfast Buffet and a 9:00 AM simple Eucharist in celebration of Christmas.
The week between Christmas and New Years the office is closed on December 25th & 26th and January 1. Barb will be in Wednesday, December 27th thru Friday, December 29th with the clergy available for emergencies.
