From our discussions participants will get the opportunity to design their own individual Sabbath ritual and observance. See Father Tim for more information.

Children, Youth, and Family Ministries return

Our Fall programming starting up in September means that many children and youth ministries are returning to our lives.

Sunday School Begins September 8th– Our Sunday school program, aimed at kindergarten through 5th graders, lets children to engage with scripture and prayer through crafts and games during our worship service. Children are invited to begin worship with their families and then following our opening prayers head out with their teachers to engage in activities focused on where their curious minds and open hearts are. They return to the worship space as we prepare to celebrate the Eucharist (communion). See Nancy Scott for more information.

Youth Adventure Club Begins September 15th – All youth grades 6 and up are invited to gather after worship to share lunch, games, and conversations about faith and life. We typically meet every other week. See Jill Woody for more information.

Acolyte Training September 29th – 6th graders and any other youth who have not been trained gather to learn how they can help us in worship with their presence at the altar. Once they’ve been trained with the help of our clergy and volunteers, they can join our current acolytes in adding majesty and beauty to our liturgy.

Trinity Community Sunday – August 25th – All are Welcome!

Our second annual Community Sunday on August 25th has even more events and fun than our successful first day in the park last year. We will once again take over General Warren Park next door to the church and set up a tent for worship, music, and several kids events. This year we will feature family events like Marti Loomis and the Bubblegum Machine, various crafts, activities, and a Bouncy House! Facepainting and a featured balloon animal artist will delight us with the story of Jonah and the Whale.

All this while we enjoy hot dogs, popcorn, and shared dishes from members and friends. We will also welcome back several musical ensembles from last year who will again fill the tent with music while the kids enjoy the Bouncy House and other events.

The schedule:

  • 10:30AM Worship in the Big Tent
  • 11:45- 12:30 Marti Loomis and the Bubblegum Machine / Picnic opens
  • 12:30 Blessing of the Backpacks
  • 12:35 Musical guests on the main stage / Children’s activities
  • 3:30PM Closing prayers

We’re blessing all of our Warren community with this opportunity for family fun. Come join us!

Additional ways to observe a Holy Lent: 2019 Lenten Learning and Discipline Opportunities

uto_mission_mark_0Please join with the rest of your EMWC friends in supporting the United Thank Offering (UTO) this Lent with the 2019 Lenten Devotional Calendar. Pick up materials near the entryway, including your own iconic Blue Box. By participating, you will learn more about this beloved ministry of the Episcopal Church, practice the spiritual discipline of gratitude, and benefit ministries of hope and faith all over the world. A great activity for disciples of all ages! Collections are due back on Easter Sunday (April 21).

wollentcir_0Wednesdays in Lent will include a study program at 7 PM in Warren beginning March 13th. Each week during Lent, The Episcopal Mission of Warren County is offering, Practicing the Way of Love, at 7 PM at our Warren location. This opportunity is part of our traditional understanding of Lent being a time for special devotion and study in our faith lives.

The Way of Love is a way of life. More than a program or curriculum, it is an intentional commitment to a set of practices. It’s a commitment to follow Jesus: Turn, Learn, Pray, Worship, Bless, Go, Rest.  For more information on the Way of Love and a video presentation by our Presiding Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Michael Curry go to

Single Use PlasticEMWC Single Use Plastic Challenge – Each year we individually decide how we will fast during Lent, maybe giving up a food or drink, Facebook, or something else that may help us focus more on our spiritual lives. This year we are introducing a congregational fast, a fast from single use plastic, which is choking our earth and, in some cases, killing animals who become entangled in it or eat it. For example, numerous whales have been found dead, their stomach’s full of plastic.

Please prayerfully consider giving up one or more types of single use plastic: bags, straws, water and soda bottles, cups, coffee stirrers, eating utensils, food packaging, etc. We will provide a few helpful incentives: reusable metal straws, reusable shopping bags, reusable water bottles.

New Seating – Chairs in the Sanctuary!

We are very excited to have received our first donation supporting our project to bring more chairs into the worship space!

Along with hearing from Father Tim at the Annual Meeting, you hopefully have received the Trinity CMT letter inviting you to join in supporting our vision for Trinity that includes replacing some of our pews with chairs. This change helps us bring more flexibility with how we use our sacred space to support and promote our faith lives together. Small group ministries, further experiments in worship, and increased comfort are just some of the benefits we see in this, all helping us worship God and workshop our faith lives together.

If you did not receive the invitation letter please pick up a copy in the entryway, click here or see Father Tim for more information.
