WORSHIP GROUPS

ACOLYTES…are active participants in the service.  They serve at the altar and assist the priest and deacon at both the 8:00 am and 10:30 am service.  There are children, youth and adults currently rotating throughout the year. If you are interested in becoming an acolyte, please contact Addy Landrio.

MUSIC/CHOIR… the organist/choirmaster performs as the primary instrumentalist for worship services. He also directs the choir who provides choral music to support and augment congregational singing at the 10:30 am service beginning the second Sunday of September through Trinity Sunday. They choir rehearses on Sundays at 9:00 am.  If you would like to join the choir, please contact our organist/choirmasterPaul Crouch.

LAY READERS AND EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS... are opportunities for members of the congregation to participate in the worship service by reading the appointed lessons and psalm or by administering the cup of wine during communion. Some training is required.  Please contact Father Matthew for more information.

EUCHARISTIC VISITORS...bring the sacrament to those who are unable to come to church.  Training and a special license are required.   Four members currently take the sacrament to our shut-ins.  Contact the Father Matthew for more information.

ALTAR GUILD…is responsible for setting and cleaning the altar, vessels and hangings each week, and also arranging the flowers. They are responsible for care of linens, silver, candles and vestments.  This is a behind the scenes ministry that help make our liturgy orderly and peaceful.  Currently four committees follow a rotating monthly schedule. They always welcome new members.  Please contact: Barb Willis, 723-3017.

USHERS...assist in welcoming and orienting newcomers and helping the service proceed smoothly by distributing worship service bulletins, taking attendance, collecting and presenting the offering, and directing the congregation during communion.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AND FAITH FORMATION GROUPS

Nursery is open from 9:00 AM until after church for children 3 years of age and under.

Sunday Morning  . . . An adult group is offered at 9:15 am.  A friendly, informal adult faith group meets in the parish hall for fellowship and study. Intercessory prayer begins each session. A lay person acts as the facilitator as individuals share and learn through study, discussion and prayer.  You may participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable. Anyone is welcome to join at anytime.

Monday Evenings . . .  A welcoming, vibrant prayer and bible study group meets in the parlor at 7:00 PM.  A lay person leads the group beginning with intercessory prayer. We are currently studying the Book of Deuteronomy.  Please come join us.

Thursday Evenings . . . A men's bible study group meets in the parlor at 6:00 PM.  This group is also led by a lay person.  All men of the parish are welcome.
